People can be such snobs about education it’s just despicable. The country’s in a recession, let’s all get our priorities straight, shall we. I think more people should be encouraged to take vocational qualifications. With the City and Guilds QCF, all such qualifications are endorsed by government standards to ensure quality – this is fantastic because it basically means that anyone who studies for a City and Guilds qualification which falls under the QCF will have their qualification recognised by potential employers.

My brother got a city and guilds QCF qualification in construction and building and what a beneficial tool it is for him. The qualification is recognised broadly for its quality which gives him superb flexibility. He is getting a work visa in Australia due to his line of work. Lucky him.
